Families can combine Halloween fun with a hands-on nature lesson at Dyken Pond. Participants will learn about owls, explore their diets by dissecting a real owl pellet, and discover what tiny bones and other clues reveal about an owl’s prey. Halloween costumes are encouraged, making this a fun seasonal outing for children and adults alike. The program is free, but advance registration is required.
Dyken Pond specifically warns visitors using GPS to enter the full name “Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center.” Searching only for “Dyken Pond” can send drivers to the opposite side of the lake, about 25 minutes away from the Center. Dyken Pond Road is also a dirt road for the final stretch.
Pre-registration is required
